House Centipede - A house centipede is yellowish grey with a maximum of 15 pairs of legs. House Centipedes eat other insects and arachnids thus making them insectivores. They have spread to many other parts of the world now although their origins are said to be the Mediterranean. They are found under logs, rocks, boards, and other well protected dampish locations in the outdoors. There are tons of these insects in the South of USA and in Mexico. The first such centipede was discovered in Pennsylvania in the year 1849.
